Via dyingscene.com: VIOLENT AFFAIR announce new project “Anthems Of Defiance In A Dying World”, premiere brand new track “Trapped Like Rats”.
“Since our last release The Cockroach Theory we have been on the road a lot. During that time we have written and recorded a lot of new music for a project we are calling “Anthems Of Defiance In A Dying World” which we want to release in a series of five seven inches that all follow the five stages of grief. Eventually we would want to put them all together with some unreleased and old material alternate recordings of previously released material and other stuff. Volume one of this series “Denial” is ready and should released either late 2014 or early 2015. We have one track that we wanted to share with dying scene to stream for everyone to listen to!”

VIDEO PREMIERE & GIVEAWAY- SPENCER MOODY’s “Polish Handgun” & Vinyl Test Pressing
Spencer Moody is best known as the lead vocalist for Seattle garage rock legends the Murder City Devils, but over the years this singer-songwriter has pursued a number of other artistic endeavors. Besides his involvement in several other bands, Moody even owned a “junk shop” in Seattle called The Anne Bonny for a time. Though he continues to tour and record with the Murder City Devils, Moody has been working on his own project these days, and will release his solo 45 RPM on September 9 via Riot House Records. The record will be available in three different vinyl color combos: Gold, White, and Black.
Glide Magazine is proud to premiere the new video of one of two songs on the record, “Polish Handgun.” With a heavy drone-rock rhythm back up Moody’s vocals, the video and song take on an almost David Lynch-like quality as told through a montage of old film. Check out the video:
